BaseCamp Review - Project Manager

An ugly side to any studio is time management. So what's a tool to help keep a studio on track while managing projects, setting goals, or even maintaning the vision of the company over a long period of time. Recently I was introduced to a project managment system called BaseCamp. It allows people to create scheduled projects/to-do lists and assign them to team members. Pretty useful, especially when you have goals that keep getting put off. This can be an extra kick in the pants to stay on track.

The management system has RSS feeds for the "milestones" within your projects. This allows you to sync with iCal, GoogleCalendar, etc. There's also phone apps available for the iPhone as well as the Google phone series allowing you to review & complete task "on the go". There is a free account version which works well for an individual project. If you need for horse power for your operation, there's a monthly charge with perks such as file sharing and time monitoring per project.
